Sponge Bob is ready to travel the world!

I know some of you may participate in Operation Christmas Child already, and I know some of you have heard of it... but if you have not it is an wonderful opportunity to reach out and spread the gospel that Samaritans Purse does each year! Please check out the links for more information about Operation Christmas Child and also all the great things Samaritans Purse does around the world! Did you know that 8 Million Children received shoe boxes last year, how amazing is that!!  Over 130 Countries have received shoe boxes since 1993, how cool is that?

and it all starts with a shoe box...

and then a prayer for the child who will receive the shoe box, and for that child's life to be touch by God!

Last year, was the first year that I did mine online, which is cool because when you print your label online after your shoe box is delivered it will tell you where it ended up... and last year my box went to Togo, which is a country in Africa!

The National collection week is Nov 15-22  so if you haven't got a chance yet and still want to participate you still have a few days to make a child's day!

This year I just felt convicted to pack a box for a girl between the ages of 10-14 and I do hope she enjoys her gifts I picked out for her, but more importantly I will be praying for her this year!

I encourage you my bloggy friends to pray for the children who will receive the shoe boxes this year that God will open there hearts to His word!

Photo Cards, a fun opportunity!

I recently came across an really cool opportunity that Shutterfly is doing, which I am really excited about! They are giving away 50 free holiday cards to Bloggers, which is very cool!  I  have always thought about doing photo cards but we never got around to doing them.  I usually end up buying cards from a store which is not a bad thing, but I would love to do a cool photo card its more personal and I think family and friends will love it, If your family is anything like my family they want to see lots and lots of photos of you and your family!  While Its just me and my hubby and our furry kids I thought it would be fun to do photo cards this year… I have my awesome camera now so why not ?  Now just to go take fun Christmas photos hehe!

This is the link to the Holiday cards and they are really cool, I am not even sure which one I am going to go with yet, but I would like something that says Merry Christmas and not Happy Holidays.  So they have lots of cards to choose from!

They also have some other really cool products like… Calendars, Photo books, and Story Cards!
I am looking forward to making some photo books too!

Guess what Bloggers Shutterfly is giving away 50 free Holiday Cards to Bloggers! So click here to apply!

Fall is passing by...

I am not sure if its just me but I feel like fall has passed by with out a hello or goodbye... Its gotten cold outside, I know my friends in places where it is colder...may think I am crazy for saying that but its cold, and I am not a fan. Which is why I am Super excited that we should have heat next week!  So this weekend we have lots of things to get done around the house and Hubby still has his electrical work to do..

I have been getting some clothes and shoes etc together to give away because they are no longer needed items.. I even am giving away some of my favorite pieces of clothing because they no longer fit, and while I could hang on to them for that "some day I might can wear this again"  I have realized that is selfish of me... and so I am giving it away so maybe it can make someone's day.

last weekend was fun with chili, baked potatoes, bonfire and games...  we also had our church event on Halloween night  "Light the Night with Jesus"  which there was trunk or treating, food, games, even a train ride.. I helped my sister hand out candy and even carved a new pumpkin just for the night ...and the best part of the night was 15 people got saved how cool is that!

and my scarf is almost complete, I want it to get a little bit longer but Its not to shabby for my first knitting project. I must say I am enjoying learning to knit!

and since your good bloggy readers .... fun fall photos!
